Appartamento Ponte Pietra

The apartment is in Piazza Broilo, eighty meters behind Ponte Pietra. Step out the front door and you are on the bridge in one minute, at the Duomo in three. Ground floor: no stairs, no elevator to wait for with your luggage.

It has just been renovated: white walls, light parquet, track lighting, a kitchen hidden behind panel doors. One single room, no dividing walls: the double bed on one side, the round table on the other, and a long counter with stools for breakfast or for your laptop. The bunk bed folds down from the wall unit and adds two single beds: it works perfectly for four friends or a family with kids.

The kitchen has an oven, dishwasher, induction hob and microwave. Air conditioning, wall-mounted TV, Wi-Fi. The windows sit high, above sidewalk level: no one can see in from outside, and with the new frames the noise stays out.

Piazza Broilo sits in the corner of Verona between the Duomo and the bend of the Adige: the part of the historic center where the tourists photographing Ponte Pietra thin out and where the Veronese still live. Check-in is self-service, 24 hours a day: codes and instructions with photos of the route arrive the day before. If you come by car, you leave it at the Arsenale garage, a twelve-minute walk away.
